A New Chapter for MOV Drone Workz: Embracing Drone Technology for the 2024–2025 Hunting Season
As summer concludes and we approach the 2024–2025 deer hunting season, MOV Drone Workz is excited to announce our readiness to provide advanced drone services. We stay charged and ready to dispatch 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during hunting season. MOV Drone Workz is the first and only full-time drone service provider in the Mid Ohio Valley.
Overcoming Challenges and Preparing for the Season
This past summer, we honed and fine tuned our flying skills as we tackled various challenges, including conducting searches for lost dogs in dense canopies and bushy areas. These thick environments, often described as kryptonite for thermal imaging, presented significant obstacles. However, as the leaves begin to fall, we anticipate improved conditions, making it easier to locate game with our drones.
Our drones, equipped with cutting-edge thermal imaging technology, provide a significant edge in deer recovery. They offer a comprehensive aerial perspective, making them especially useful in vast or difficult-to-navigate terrains. MOV Drone Workz focuses solely on drone-based searching, equipped with advanced capabilities, including 200x zoom, spotlights, and a speaker, enabling efficient and effective recovery efforts.
Our Services and Pricing Model
This season, we offer a comprehensive range of services, including drone-assisted deer recovery. Our pricing is clear and fair: $450 for the initial search, with an option for clients to provide a tip based on their satisfaction with the service. Mileage is charged at $1.25 per mile for distances beyond the first 60 miles round trip, starting from Marietta, OH. We believe this pricing structure ensures transparency and provides value to our clients.
Additionally, we offer 2D mapping and herd analysis services, including high-resolution maps of properties or hunting lands, available both digitally and in print. As a special offer, if you make an appointment for a herd analysis before September 1st, you will receive $50.00 off the minimum fee. Furthermore, clients who complete a herd analysis with us this year will receive a $100.00 discount on our "Thermal Drone Deer Search" service, perfect for those moments when you’ve shot that big one and can't find it.
We understand and respect the principles of "Fair Chase" and recognize that hunters want to ensure that the meat doesn't go to waste, especially considering the extensive planning and costs involved. There is no obligation to any payment once a request for a search form is filled out. We can always be canceled up until we take flight. So go ahead, fill it out, as this will give time for our pilots to check airspace, weather, and the lay of the land, ensuring a safe, legal flight. Our pilots are all Part 107 certified and insured.
Legal Considerations and Future Prospects
While we are fully operational in Ohio, it's important to note that current laws in West Virginia prohibit using drones for locating downed deer. We remain optimistic, however, as legislation catches up with technological advancements. We expect changes in the coming seasons that may expand our service offerings in West Virginia.
